As part of preparations for the third round of mutual evaluations, the EAG Secretariat continues to familiarize member state delegations with the requirements of the updated FATF Standards.
The consultations are conducted online upon request from delegations and are intended for representatives from government authorities involved in AML/CFT/CPF national systems of EAG member states.
On February 3, a consultation session was held for representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On February 6, with the organizational support of ITMCFM, a similar event was conducted for Rosfinmonitoring personnel and representatives from relevant government bodies of the Russian Federation.
During these events, EAG Secretariat officials provided an overview of changes to the FATF Standards concerning CPF risk assessment, asset recovery, the prevention of NPO misuse for terrorist financing, and the transparency of beneficial ownership – key areas to be assessed in the upcoming EAG mutual evaluation round. Additionally, consultation participants were introduced to the procedures for the third round of mutual evaluations.
Throughout 2025, the Secretariat plans to continue holding consultations for delegations from other EAG member states, including targeted briefings for competent authorities responsible for implementing specific FATF Recommendations.
