From January 31 through February 1, the Institute for Financial Technologies and Economic Security (IFTES) at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, in collaboration with the Federal Financial Monitoring Service (Rosfinmonitoring), conducted sessions for participants of the 4th International Online Winter Financial Intelligence School.
The program featured lectures delivered by Rosfinmonitoring staff, representatives from the Secretariat of the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (EAG), private-sector professionals, academics, and financial intelligence experts.
Alexander Kurianov, Head of the Office of the Director at Rosfinmonitoring, addressed current risks and trends in the credit and financial sector, underscoring the importance of cooperation between the financial intelligence units and primary financial monitoring entities.
The sessions covered a range of topics, including the international anti-money laundering framework, analysis of AML/CFT/CPF innovations and trends, cryptocurrency supervision and regulation, encrypted financial investigations, and methods for identifying financial statement manipulations within the AML/CFT system.
All participants who attended the online school sessions and submitted essays received certificates of completion.
