On June 22, 2022, a meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Financial Security Olympiad was held in a hybrid format under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation D. Afanasyev.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Rosfinmonitoring, ITMCFM, PJSC Promsvyazbank, the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Education of Russia, the EAG Secretariat, the Peoples Friendship University of Russia. Presentations were delivered by Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring V. Glotov, General Director of the ITMCFM M. Andronova, Vice-Rector for Interaction with Public Authorities of the Federal State Autonomous Higher Education Institution "RUDN" M. Katsarsky, Senior Vice–President - Head of the Strategy and Development Projects Department of PJSC Promsvyazbank I. Bronfman.
During the meeting, the results of the thematic lesson on financial security and the 1st (qualifying) stage of the Olympiad, including the results of the qualifying stage in the BRICS countries, were presented. In 2022, pupils from the Russian Federation and students from 12 CIS and BRICS countries will take part in the Olympiad: Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Russia. The Committee discussed the specifics of conducting and providing information support for the Olympiad final stage, which will be held in October this year at the “Sirius” Educational Center.
Among the main agenda issues of the meeting, the participants got acquainted with the progress of work on preparation of technical specifications for the creation of the “Sodruzhestvo” International Scientific and Educational Digital Platform. It will become a unified digital space for formation of an extensive knowledge base and competencies, as well as will ensure close interaction of the Olympiad participants from Russia and the CIS and BRICS countries with the expert community. It is planned that the International Network AML/CFT Institute’s member universities and the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences will be involved in the development of scientific, educational and social financial security content.
