The International Research-to-Practice Forum "Ensuring Financial Sovereignty Based on Financial Security and Financial Markets Development" has started in Rostov-on-Don.
The Forum was opened by a plenary session. Among the participants were Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District Vladimir Gurba, heads of Rosfinmonitoring Interregional Departments, representatives of the ITMCFM, RSUE, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Intercontest Training Centre for School and Tertiary Students, and International Network AML/CFT Institute’s member universities.
ITMCFM Deputy Director General Irina Shilina welcomed the plenary participants and expressed her gratitude to the RSUE representatives for their active participation and contribution to organizing the events of the IV International Olympiad on Financial Security. She also emphasized the importance of work on developing the International Movement on Financial Security:
"It is essential to create a unified international educational space where scientists, professors, specialists, school and university students from different countries will interact with each other."
The International Research-to-Practice Forum will be held on November 12-13. During these two days, participants will discuss development of financial market segments and mechanisms to ensure financial security.
The Forum will also host a meeting of the Regional Compliance Council and a round table dedicated to adapting the notary compliance system to current ML/TF risks.
The event is held with the organizational support of the ITMCFM, INI, Rosfinmonitoring Interregional Department in the Southern Federal District, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
