Konstantin Sorokin, ITMCFM Deputy Head of Projects Department, informed the EAG Working Group on Technical Assistance (WGTA) on current ITMCFM projects offered to state partners of Russia:
- online and in-person training for AML/CFT professionals;
- drafting textbooks on the basics of national AML/CFT/PF systems
Mr. Sorokin highlighted the focus of ITMCFM technical assistance programs on preparing countries for the next round of mutual evaluations:
“Our technical assistance is organized through the needs analysis on evaluated countries as well as on those preparing for an assessment, aiming to enhance not only national AML/CFT systems but also the TA coordination work across the Global Network. ITMCFM considers getting countries prepared for the next round of mutual evaluations a key priority.”
Mr. Sorokin reminded that ITMCFM routinely translates FATF products into Russian and voiced plans to make the first ME reports of the new round also available in the Russian language.
