The delegation of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan headed by the Head of the national FIU - Chairman of the Financial Monitoring Service Dovran Khalbaev visited Rosfinmonitoring.
During the meeting, which was attended by Rosfinmonitoring Deputy Directors Vladimir Glotov and Ivan Kornev, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
The parties also discussed the effectiveness assessment process of Turkmenistan national AML/CFT system within the framework of the second round of the EAG mutual evaluations and the upcoming preparation of the final mutual evaluation report of Turkmenistan. The representatives of the Russian and Turkmen financial intelligence units shared their opinions about development of the national anti-money laundering legislation in accordance with the FATF Recommendations related to new technologies, including virtual assets.
In his report, First Deputy General Director of ITMCFM Oleg Ivanov informed the parties about the work conducted by the ITMCFM to improve professional qualification and skills of specialists of financial intelligent units and other competent authorities, as well as about training of students at the leading Russian INI member universities.
The ITMCFM representatives shared the outcomes of the second International Financial Security Olympiad with the foreign colleagues and invited them to participate in the 2023 Olympiad.
