The 68th session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs took place in Vienna, Austria from March 10 through 14, with the participation of experts from Rosfinmonitoring (FIU Russia).

During the plenary session, an FIU representative shared Russia’s experience in initiating criminal cases related to money laundering involving cryptocurrencies. The presentation underscored the commitment of Russia’s FIU to fostering international cooperation in combating financial crimes.

Additionally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and Rosfinmonitoring jointly hosted an exhibition booth at the event venue. The exhibition featured key initiatives, including:

  • AML/CFT training programs conducted by the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring (ITMCFM) for relevant agencies, such as law enforcement agencies and supervisory authorities;
