List of selective stage winners of IV International Olympiad on Financial Security approved

The Executive Committee of the IV International Olympiad on Financial Security met in Moscow to lay the groundwork for the finals. The meeting approved the lists of winners of the selective stage, summarized the results of the past competitions and the thematic lessons held in Russia and abroad.
The meeting was chaired by Dmitry Afanasiev, Head of the Olympiad Executive Committee, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Mr. German Neglyad, State Secretary and Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring, also joined the event.
Bella Safonova, Deputy Head of the Department of Personnel and Anti-Corruption of Rosfinmonitoring, reported on the results of the Financial Security thematic lesson. In 2024, the lesson enjoyed more coverage, categories of participants and venues, year-on-year. Related events were held at schools, colleges, universities, departmental educational institutions, federal vacation camps, orphanages, and Russian diplomatic missions.
The All-Russian Lesson was held in all federal districts of the Russian Federation, more than 135,000 lessons were held covering about three million students. This year we involved about 80 universities, including the International Network AML/CFT Institute (INI), in conducting the lessons. With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the lessons were held at schools at Russian foreign missions in 31 countries and at Rossotrudnichestvo representative offices in 14 countries, said Bella Safonova.
The lesson titled No Child’s Games: How Not to Get Involved in Financial Crime was translated into five foreign languages, and it was held in 18 countries partnering Russia in the AML/CFT field. The lesson materials are publicly available on the Sodruzhestvo International Digital Social and Educational Platform.
Margarita Andronova, General Director of the International Training and Methodology Center for Financial Monitoring, summed up the results of the second selective stage of the Olympiad for Russian students.
Marina Shemyakina, Head of the Intercontest Training Centre for School and Tertiary Students, reported on the results of qualifying tests for Russian schoolchildren, and Mikhail Katsarsky, Vice-Rector of the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, reported on the coverage of foreign participants.
Representatives of 45 countries qualified for the next stage of the Olympiad. The lists of winners of the selective stage are available on the Sodruzhestvo platform.
