The ITMCFM delegation visited Umm Al Quwain University and the TRENDS Research & Advisory Expert Analytical Center as part of the Education and Career in AML/CFT exhibition held in the United Arab Emirates.
The ITMCFM representatives conducted working meetings with the University and the Center leadership. During the meetings, they discussed cooperation in financial security training, experience sharing opportunities, new technologies and practices used in the educational process. The 3rd Secretary of the Russian Embassy in the UAE, Rustem Aminov, also took part in the discussions.
UAE university students and faculty got acquainted with the activities of the International Network AML/CFT Institute and the International Olympiad on Financial Security, which has been held for the 4th consecutive year in accordance with the instructions of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
The Graphus training system for financial investigations and the Transparent Blockchain service used to train future AML/CFT specialists were presented to the TRENDS Research & Advisory Expert Analytical Center.
Based on the meeting outcomes:
- the parties expressed their interest in establishing a long-term partnership with the Russian Federation in educational and scientific fields, as well as in implementing joint programs, events and projects
- ITMCFM and Umm Al Quwain University agreed on further cooperation in the field of AML/CFT education and training
- ITMCFM and the TRENDS Research & Advisory Center signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in order to increase intellectual capacity in the area of improving the AML/CFT staff training system
