The ITMCFM hosted a meeting between Rosfinmonitoring, ITMCFM and compliance departments of banks to discuss the organization of the final week of the III International Financial Security Olympiad.
Ms. Galina Bobrysheva, Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring, welcomed the participants and awarded the experts with Notes of Acknowledgement from the Federal Financial Monitoring Service for their participation in and great contribution to the organization of the Olympiad in 2022.
The meeting focused on the master classes and panel discussions led by bank compliance officers to be part of the agenda of the Olympiad finals (to be held on October 2 to 6 in Sirius), as well as other events scheduled for the week.
Mr. Oleg Ivanov, First Deputy Director General of the ITMCFM, commented on the expansion of the coverage of the financial security Olympiad movement over the 3 years:
“In 2021, seven states of the Eurasian region took part in the Olympiad, namely: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. BRICS countries and Armenia joined the second Olympiad. This year the geographical coverage has expanded again: we see an increasing interest from partner countries of the Russian Federation from all over the world. Young people from Iran, Pakistan and Vietnam are joining the Olympiad movement. Teams of students from Namibia and Algeria will reinforce Africa’s participation. Venezuela and Cuba will be the "newcomers" from Latin America.”
