A ceremony of signing an agreement between the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring was held on March 17, 2023.
According to the document signed by Director of Rosfinmonitoring, Yury Chikhanchin, Rector of the Financial University, Stanislav Prokofiev, and First Deputy Director General of the ITMCFM, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, it is planned to launch professional development programs for specialists, conduct joint scientific research, and organize specialized master classes, workshops and discussions. The document will cover a number of areas aimed to provide economic security.
"Our common task is to develop AML/CFT competence of young specialists. The economic security of the entire country depends largely on the specialists’ expertise. I am pleased that we have reached a new level of cooperation and set new ambitious goals," Yury Chikhanchin stated.
According to Stanislav Prokofiev, the university implements several professional educational programs and actively participates in the International Financial Security Olympiad. The Financial University s Rector emphasized the importance of such collaboration and the launch of new projects together with the International Network AML/CFT Institute’s participants.
Vladimir Ovchinnikov, First Deputy Director General of the ITMCFM, stated that the Financial University is rightfully considered a leader in terms of personnel training in economics and finance, as well as an active member of the International Network Institute.
