On September 15, 2022, a workshop "Countering the Financing of Terrorist and Extremist Activities" was held in a remote format for employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The Head of the Department for Countering the Financing of Terrorism, Interregional Department of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service for the Central Federal District, G. Polyansky, acted as an expert lecturer. The following issues were considered during the workshop:
- the role and place of Rosfinmonitoring in the national CFT system, the capabilities of the Service in conducting financial investigations;
identification and proof of facts, as well as economic and criminal schemes for financing of terrorist and extremist activities, the use of digital currency in these schemes.
