September 29, 2022 a four-day workshop for employees of the National Bank and the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic on introducing a risk-based approach to supervisory activities and conducting sectoral ML/TF risk assessments (as part of the project plan for providing TA to the Kyrgyz Republic) was completed.
The workshop was attended by employees of the State Financial Intelligence Service (SFIS). The event was organized by the ITMCFM at the SFIS Training and Methodology Center.
During the workshop, assessments were conducted and the substantive content of sections of reports on ML/TF risks in the sectors of commercial banks, microfinance organizations, exchange offices, payment organizations, notaries was determined.
In addition, within the framework of this event, a working meeting was held with responsible employees of the SFIS.
