During the WGTA meeting, the EAG Secretariat, along with the ITMCFM, delivered the Contact Group performance outcomes during the intersessional period.
During this period, two Group meetings were held via videoconferencing, where the participants discussed the following issues:
- Practical implementation of a technological solution based on iRule using the experience of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus as an example;
- Russia's experience in text data processing to identify typologies.
Submitted for WGTA consideration was proposal concerning the participation in Contact Group meetings of EAG observers, as well as analytical software specialists and developers.
In 2025, the Contact Group plans to focus on studying optimal ways to exchange IT developments used to automate business processes in the financial intelligence units of the EAG member states, including in the following areas:
- Risk-based approach to supervision;
- Collection and analysis of supervised entities' reports;
- Risk assessment at the level of supervised sectors and organizations.
