ITMCFM Representative of Russian Interagency Delegation Attends BRICS Counter-Terrorism Working Group Meeting

On July 23, a meeting of expert practitioners focused on enhancing the enforcement potential of the BRICS Counter-Terrorism Working Group (CTWG) took place in Moscow.

The ITMCFM representative of the Russian interagency delegation presented several projects aimed at strengthening the national AML/CFT systems in BRICS countries. These projects include:

  • Training Programs in a wide variety of formats supported by experts from the Russian anti-money laundering system;
  • ITMCFM Distance Learning System designed to build educational track tailored to each country’s specific needs;
  • Research-to-practice forums. These forums promote the establishment of a unified international AML/CFT strategy to counter international terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, and transnational organized crime.

In addition, the speaker highlighted the significant role of the International Olympiad on Financial Security, coordinated by ITMCFM. As the number of participating countries continues to grow, the Olympiad is gaining popularity, fostering knowledge sharing in AML/CFT at the international level.
