On June 1, 2022, the grand opening ceremony of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Financial Intelligence and Computer Forensics took place at the International Network AML/CFT Institute’s member university — Rostov State University of Economics (RSUE).
Welcome speech to the event participants and congratulations on the opening were delivered by the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District V. Gurba, Head of the Interregional Department of Rosfinmonitoring for the Southern Federal District G. Shatsky, Rector of the Rostov State University of Economics (RSUE) E. Makarenko and President of the Rostov State University of Economics (RSUE) A. Albekov. General Director of the ITMCFM M. Andronova addressed the university staff and students with the wishes of fruitful work and prominent results via videoconferencing.
The activity of the interdisciplinary laboratory is aimed at enriching the educational process, supporting the projects of the RSUE partners and joint events, as well as at adaptation of students and novice researchers to the scientific network.
During the event, RSUE students held a master class on the use of the “Graphus” training platform for solving financial investigations cases and presented software methods for investigating cybercrime.
Following the presentations, the invited participants — heads of financial and supervisory authorities of the Southern Federal District — discussed the potential of interdisciplinary work and the possibility of its use in expert-analytical projects.
