From February 1 to March 23, 2025, the Invitation stage of the 5th International Olympiad on Financial Security was held on the Sodruzhestvo digital platform, supported by the Intercontest Training Centre for School and Tertiary Students of the Lebedev Physical Institute. The event was attended by approximately 40,000 school and university students from all regions of the Russian Federation, as well as participants from both neighboring and distant foreign countries. The Invitation stage was conducted in both Russian and English.
Participants who successfully completed the preliminary tasks received First-Level Participant Certificates of the Olympiad.
The Invitation stage served as a preparatory step toward the Eliminatory stage, which will commence shortly. Its purpose is not only to assess participants' baseline knowledge, but also to familiarize them with the Olympiad’s format and key subject areas. Tasks for school students aligned with national curricula in mathematics, computer science, and social studies, for university students the focus areas included law, information security, economics, and international relations.
Registration for the first round of the Eliminatory stage remains open on the Sodruzhestvo platform through March 30, 2025.
The International Olympiad on Financial Security has been held annually since 2021 under the auspices of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation. It is organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, and member institutions of the International Network AML/CFT Institute. Starting in 2024, online stages are hosted exclusively on the Sodruzhestvo platform.
Over the past four years, the Olympiad has brought together more than six million talented young people from 36 countries. Supported by the Youth and Children national project, the Olympiad aims to promote financial security as a key element of personal and collective well-being, and to nurture a new generation committed to a culture of transparency and lawful financial conduct.
