From April to October 2021 the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of the Russian Federation is holding the International Financial Security Olympiad for the 8th-10th graders, as well as for Bachelor, Specialist and Master Degree students.
The Olympiad is coordinated by the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring.
The Olympiad aims to improve the information, financial and legal literacy of children and young people, contribute to their professional orientation, and develop scientific knowledge in the field of financial security.
The Olympiad is held in several directions in the field of financial security and financial monitoring.
For students:
- Economics, Finance and Credit, Economic Security;
- Law;
- Information Security;
- International Relations.
- Mathematics and Computer Science (IT, programming, artificial intelligence);
- Social Science and Law;
- Economics.
Within the framework of preparation for the Olympiad, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation recommends until May 15, 2021 to conduct the All-Russian Thematic "Financial Security" Lesson for the 8th-10th graders in accordance with the methodological guidelines also published on the website of the Ministry in the "Document Bank" section. The purpose of the lesson is to give pupils a basic understanding of different types of financial fraud and the basic rules of financial security.
The first (qualifying) stage will be held on May 17-21, 2021 at the educational and research centres that are members of the International Network AML/CFT Institute (INI).
The winners of the first round will participate in the final stage, which will be held on October 3-9, 2021 at the “Sirius” Educational Centre in the city of Sochi.
In addition to Russian pupils and students, students of the universities that are members of the International Network AML/CFT Institute (from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) are also invited to take part in the Olympiad.
