The 3rd International Scientific and Practical Forum "The 8th All-Russian Student Conference on Economic Security"

On April 26, 2022, the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Forum "The 8th All-Russian Student Conference on Economic Security" was launched in a remote format. The event was co-organized by the International Training and Methodology Center for Financial Monitoring (ITMCFM) and the International Network AML/CFT Institute (INI).

During the forum, a Plenary session was held with participation of representatives of Rosfinmonitoring, ITMCFM, INI member universities, banking and private sector.

Ekaterina Butkeeva, Deputy Head of the Department for Coordination of Educational and Scientific Projects of the ITMCFM, made a welcoming speech at the Plenary session, the report "AML/CFT Control (Supervision): Relevant Issues and Development Directions" was presented by Nikolai Bogonostsev, a leading specialist of the Department for Coordination of Educational and Scientific Projects of the ITMCFM.

From April 26 to 28, within the framework of the section work, issues of countering economic and corruption crimes and ensuring fiscal security in the conditions of modern geopolitical instability and sanctions pressure are planned to be discussed. Separate thematic sections will be held by representatives of the INI member universities.

On April 27, on the second day of the Forum s events, N. Bogonostsev as an expert took part in the section "Relevant Trends in the Development of AML/CFT Systems". In the course of the work, students reports were presented on the regulation of turnover of cryptocurrencies, countering the legalization of proceeds received from illegal migration, as well as on the use of a risk-based approach in supervisory activities. The high quality of preparation and presentation of the material by students, deep immersion in the report topics and the ability to conduct a constructive dialogue on emerging issues were noted.
