On November 21, 2005, pursuant to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring (ITMCFM) was established by the Federal Financial Monitoring Service.
Ms. Margarita Andronova, Director General, ITMCFM:
“Dear colleagues, partners, and friends!
Eighteen years ago, the Government of the Russian Federation issued an instruction on the establishment of the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring. The Centre’s mandate was to provide the Russian Federation in the activities of the EAG, to cultivate highly skilled professionals for national anti-money laundering systems, and implement a unified information policy in the Eurasian region.
Today, ITMCFM stands as the leading provider of AML/CFT knowledge and expertise. The Centre delivers AML/CFT training in Russia and to countries across all key regions of the world, oversees the operations of the International Network AML/CFT Institute member universities, and provides informational, expert, and methodological support to partner countries of the Russian Federation. We remain dedicated to the development and enhancement of new and existing forms and methods of cooperation.
As we mark the Centre’s 18th anniversary, we reflect on eighteen years of hard work, implemented projects, organized activities, scrutinized materials, training manuals and studies, coordinated efforts, and technical assistance rendered. Thanks to the cohesive teamwork, comprehensive backing from the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, and the unwavering support of partner organizations, a robust foundation has been laid to embody our most ambitious and challenging plans.
ITMCFM continues to evolve, achieve success, and meet exciting and challenging objectives with confidence. Eighteen is merely a starting point, and I extend my best wishes to the Centre for ongoing success, development, the advent of exciting events, and the accomplishment of new projects! May our team remain resilient, dynamic, enthusiastic, daring, and fortunate—both in achieving collective goals and in personal endeavors!”
