On October 13, 2022, on the margins of the final stage of the 2nd International Financial Security Olympiad, the 17th meeting of the Council of the International Network AML/CFT Institute (hereinafter - the Network Institute, INI) was held. The event was attended by representatives of the participating organizations of the Network Institute from the Russian Federation and CIS countries.
Yuri Chikhanchin, Director of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, Chairman of the INI Council, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the International Financial Security Olympiad, opened the meeting of the INI Council.
During the meeting, the main attention was paid to the issues of the International Financial Security Olympiad, including a pilot training project for students – winners and prize-winners of the 1st and 2nd Olympiads, the experience of the Kyrgyz Republic in holding the Republican Olympiad on Financial Security and priorities for expanding the range of participants in the Olympiad. The participants also discussed the progress in the creation of the International Scientific and Educational Digital Platform "Sodruzhestvo", the development of a unified educational space in the field of AML/CFT and the inclusion of mastering of special software products used in financial intelligence units in the training programs at the universities of the INI.
As part of the agenda, a proposal was considered to include new participants in the Network Institute, followed by their signing of protocols on joining the INI.
