On April 17, 2023, the preliminary (university) stage of the III International Financial Security Olympiad will begin. The Olympiad is held annually with the support of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The aim of the Olympiad is to promote financial security as a way of life and to foster a new way of thinking among young people: from individual financial security to national security. Holding the Olympiad corresponds to the objectives of the national project "Education". Its main goal is to provide opportunities for self-realization and development of talented children regardless of their place of residence or social status.
The Olympiad is available to pupils in grades 8 to 10 and students. Last year, 40,000 children passed the test and 500 participants reached the final stage. In 2023, the International Financial Security Olympiad will be held for the third time, bringing together young people from more than 15 countries.
Registration for the preliminary (university) stage will open on 17 April. Pupils will be offered interdisciplinary tasks based on the school curriculum in mathematics, computer science and social studies. Students’ tasks will be based on university programs depending on the field of study (law, mathematics, applied mathematics and computer science, applied mathematics, mathematics and computer science, fundamental informatics and information technology, computer science and computer engineering, applied informatics, information security, business informatics, economics, international relations and foreign regional studies). Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Preparation and Holding of the International Financial Security Olympiad, Dmitry Chernyshenko commented on the Olympiad start: "Every year, despite the current international situation, we are expanding the geography of project participants - from 7 countries in the pilot 2021 year to 15 countries this year. This shows that the Olympiad has become a new youth movement and an effective platform for training international-level professionals in the field of financial security. In the final stage of the Olympiad, the children's aspirations to pass the university stage will be rewarded. The winners will receive advantages to enter universities, internship offers in leading financial institutions of our country and invaluable communication experience with AML/CFT professionals".
The Olympiad’s winners and prize-winners will be granted advantages to enter the bachelor, master and postgraduate higher education programs, according to the benefits of the I Level Olympiads.

Children will solve non-standard assignments, meet interesting people, make new friends and receive good impressions. The Olympiad final stage will take place on October 02-06, 2023, at the “Sirius” Educational Centre in Sochi. The final stage program will include test assignments, meetings with invited experts, sports events, seminars, workshops, masterclasses, meetings with employers, round tables, debates, creative meetings and panel discussions.
