Training Course on asset tracing and recovery for representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On November 11, the ITMCFM hosted a workshop on asset tracing and recovery. The workshop was held through videoconferencing mode. Representatives of financial intelligence unit and competent authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran took part in the training event.

An expert, representative of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation Denis Kunev, familiarized the trainees with the topic of asset recovery. During the course, participants discussed the following topics:

  • current challenges of asset recovery and ways to solve them;
  • the role of financial intelligence units, law enforcement and supervisory authorities in asset tracing and recovery;
  • international experience and practices of legal regulation of property seizure and confiscation, including virtual assets.
