Issues of cooperation in AML/CFT discussed at international conference in Nizhny Novgorod

On September 12, 2025, the II International Scientific-Practical Conference titled "Relevant Issues of Cooperation in AML/CFT in the Era of Digitalization" was held at Lobachevsky University with support of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service and ITMCFM.

At the opening ceremony, the First Deputy Director General of ITMCFM and Director of INI Vladimir Ovchinnikov welcomed the participants.

In his remarks, he underlined the practical significance of such events and invited participants to take an active part in the International Forum on Financial Security, which will take place during the final week of the V International Olympiad on Financial Security.

"We all clearly understand that new technological solutions inevitably bring new risks of their misuse for illegal purposes. I am confident that through combined efforts we can elaborate effective solutions which will ensure financial security in the rapidly changing world."

The conference program was followed by a round table at which representatives of public authorities, the banking sector, and the scientific and expert community discussed mechanisms for ensuring financial security.

The agenda also featured speeches delivered by finalists of the international contest titled "Modern Mechanisms for Ensuring Financial Stability."

The contest is held for the first time to validate a new area of focus of the International Olympiad on Financial Security. Among its participants were representatives from more than 15 countries, including Algeria, Armenia, Bangladesh, Belarus, China, Columbia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Peru, UAE, Uzbekistan, and others. The conference became one of the key events in Nizhny Novgorod, which currently holds the honorary status "Capital of Financial Culture."
