A delegation from the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Republic of Cuba visited ITMCFM as part of their official trip to Rosfinmonitoring
The delegation was headed by Fernando Luis Camejo de la Rosa, Director General of the Cuban Financial Intelligence Unit, and Pedro Guillermo Aguirre Jarambure, Head of the FIU’s Analytical Department. The discussions with Russian counterparts focused on preparations for the upcoming round of mutual evaluations and on improving national AML/CFT systems capacity building.
Ivan Uvarov, ITMCFM Director General, presented opportunities for expanding the educational, methodological, scientific, and practical base for training financial security specialists after the University of Havana’s joining the International Network AML/CFT Institute (INI).
Mr. Uvarov also emphasized the active role of INI member universities in the development and methodological support of the International Movement on Financial Security.
The parties agreed to continue their discussions at the V International Olympiad on Financial Security, scheduled to be held next week in Krasnoyarsk.
