Andrey Kormilitsyn, a specialist with the Anti-Money Laundering Department of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, delivered a lecture during a seminar on preparation of the Kyrgyz Republic for the third round of mutual evaluations of Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism.
The seminar was held in Bishkek from June 30 to July 4 and brought together representatives from financial intelligence units, the private sector, law enforcement, and supervisory authorities. The event was jointly organized by the EAG and the State Financial Intelligence Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, with support from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
The seminar agenda focused on practical training sessions to build capacity among specialists and promote experience sharing in the context of international evaluations in accordance with the FATF standards.
In his lecture, Mr. Kormilitsyn provided insights into Russia’s approach to financial investigations related to money laundering. He also shared best practices in interagency cooperation and the analysis of financial intelligence data, offering practical guidance to the Kyrgyz Financial Intelligence Unit.
