The new issue of the journal is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring (ITMCFM).
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov addressed the ITMCFM team: "Over the years, ITMCFM has established itself as a leading Eurasian training platform in the important field of combating money laundering and terrorist financing. Its experts successfully consolidate and promote best Russian and international practice, provide training for national personnel in countries of the Global South and East, including our closest neighbor states. They do much to develop depoliticized international anti-criminal cooperation," his message states.
In an exclusive interview, Viktor Zubkov, the first head of Russia's financial intelligence unit, discussed the creation of ITMCFM and its role in training domain-specific professionals, as well as the creation and development of national AML/CFT systems.
