An in-person training session for employees of the financial intelligence unit and other competent authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan on countering the terrorist financing started at ITMCFM.
The event was officially opened by Oleg Ivanov, First Deputy Director General of ITMCFM, and Dilshod Rajabov, Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who welcomed the participants.
The three-day training will include both theoretical and practical components and addresses a wide range of critical topics, including:
- Risk assessment related to CFT and counter-proliferation financing CPF, including the misuse of non-profit organizations;
- Oversight and compliance with internal control regulations, including procedures for working with designated lists;
- Countering terrorist financing committed through crowdfunding platforms and crypto-assets;
- And other pressing issues.
The training materials will be presented by experts from Rosfinmonitoring, who will share the experience and best practices of the Russian Federation with their international colleagues.
