Representatives from BRICS countries met at the IV International Olympiad on Financial Security

Representatives from FIUs and other competent authorities, foreign-policy services, and universities of BRICS countries met on the sidelines of the IV International Olympiad on Financial Security in Sirius. Yury Chikhanchin, Director of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, took part in this event.

The platform brought together delegates from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa (RSA), and UAE. The topic of the meeting was participation in the International Financial Security Movement.

Yury Chikhanchin noted the importance of the development of joint measures to mitigate the risks of youth involvement in criminal activities. He stressed that financial security is one of the key elements of both economic and state security in BRICS countries.

“The key objective is to engage young people in addressing financial security and promoting financial literacy. National Olympiads on financial security within BRICS countries can set a global example. We are eager to share our experiences, provide educational materials, and offer recommendations. I am confident that you will contribute new ideas,” Yury Chikhanchin said.

The Russian delegation briefed international colleagues on the mission, objectives, and tasks of the International Movement on Financial Security.

Vladimir Ovchinnikov, First Deputy Director General of the ITMCFM and Director of International Network AML/CFT Institute, pointed out the importance of high-quality educational content aimed to increasing awareness youth awareness of financial security.

Alexey Nazarov, Vice President of Promsvyazbank PJSC, presented the features of the Sodruzhestvo digital social and educational platform, which connects young people from over 70 countries.

The delegates agreed on the necessity of promoting the International Olympiad on Financial Security among the young people of BRICS countries and expanding the International Movement on Financial Security.
