During the V International Olympiad on Financial Security, a working meeting was held between the heads of the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring (ITMCFM) and the Intercontest Training Center for School and Tertiary Students and senior representatives of African academic and financial intelligence institutions.
The meeting participants included Mamitiana Rajaonarison, Head of Madagascar’s Financial Intelligence Unit; Dr. Mava Kaniso Mbulava, President of the Wider Circle Association of South Africa; Melaku Berhe Belay, Coordinator of Addis Ababa University of Science and Technology, and Dr. Samuel Megameno Nuugulu of the University of Namibia.
Participants discussed the potential organization of national Olympiads on financial security for school and university students in African countries under the auspices of the International Movement on Financial Security.
Foreign colleagues were briefed on successful examples of similar initiatives held in Eurasian countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The meeting also explored various formats for future cooperation and joint educational events.
