The 69th Session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs is taking place in Vienna, Austria, on March 9 to 13. The event features a joint information stand of Rosfinmonitoring and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
The Rosfinmonitoring exhibits prepared with the ITMCFM’s assistance showcase the following:
- Rosfinmonitoring's key lines of business regarding financial security, including the steps to identify and disrupt financial flows linked to drug trafficking
- Transparent Blockchain, a Russia-made solution for monitoring cryptocurrency transactions
- Training programs for experts working for national AML systems provided by the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring
- Russia's educational initiatives aimed at preventing the youth from getting involved in criminal activities: the International Movement and the International Olympiad on Financial Security, which will start the eliminatory stage in mid-March.
Representatives of over 15 countries and international organizations visited the stand of the Russian AML/CFT system during the first days of the event.
