On August 28, at the initiative of the Republic of Belarus, a seminar titled "Legal regulation of asset recovery in global jurisdictions" was held via videoconference.
The event brought together representatives of financial intelligence units, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant public authorities from EAG member states.
The participants exchanged knowledge and practical experience on asset recovery mechanisms and their legal frameworks, taking into account the latest amendments to FATF Recommendations Nos. 4, 30, 31, 38, and 40.
The seminar's highlights included:
- a round table discussion featuring thematic presentations by participants;
- a discussion aimed at addressing relevant issues in the sphere of international cooperation in asset recovery.
The seminar concluded with an emphasis on strengthening measures aimed at the confiscation of criminal assets.
