Herman Neglyad holds working meeting with Venezuela's financial intelligence delegation

Rosfinmonitoring representatives held a videoconference meeting with their colleagues from the Venezuelan Financial Intelligence Unit (UNIF) to strengthen AML cooperation.  

In his welcome address, Herman Neglyad, State Secretary and Deputy Head of Rosfinmonitoring, highlighted the progress achieved in the cooperation between the financial intelligence units of Russia and Venezuela, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in mitigating the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing. 

Rosfinmonitoring officers presented key analytical methodologies used to examine financial transaction reports submitted by credit institutions and other entities subject to primary financial monitoring.

The Russian delegation also demonstrated Transparent Blockchain, a Russian cryptocurrency transaction monitoring service that allows investigators to uncover the digital footprints of criminals.

Both parties underscored the importance of further consolidation of bilateral relations and exchange of experience. They agreed to maintain active engagement across a wide range of anti-money laundering issues.
