ITMCFM Director General presents information on Centre’s projects in Eurasian region

At the 43rd EAG Plenary Meeting in Minsk, Ivan Uvarov, ITMCFM Director General, delivered a report on the Centre’s ongoing and prospective projects.

He emphasized that the ITMCFM’s activities are aligned with the priorities of the Russian Chairmanship in the Eurasian Group and reflect preparations by Russia and partner states for upcoming FATF and EAG rounds of mutual evaluations.

Mr. Uvarov noted the importance of continuous engagement with specialists from national AML/CFT systems, stating:

“The key factor for successfully undergoing the next round of evaluations will be the preparation of individuals involved in the process — both from the assessors’ side and from the assessed country.”

ITMCFM regularly conducts in-person and online training events for specialists of national AML/CFT systems, tailoring its work to country requests and in line with major updates to the FATF International Standards.

In 2025, the Centre conducted more than 60 such events, including in-person trainings and assessor training programs.
