Officers of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service held a series of meetings with representatives of the State Financial Intelligence Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek and Moscow.
In preparation for the upcoming round of evaluations of the anti-money laundering systems, the two countries discussed their cooperative experience in banks' compliance practices and exchanged analytical findings on foreign economic flows and related risks of money laundering and terrorist financing.
As noted by the officers, such engagements significantly enhance the level of cooperation, which is particularly important for joint financial investigations.
During the discussions, the parties also addressed issues related to the training of specialized personnel and the development of the International Movement on Financial Security.
Both sides underscored the importance of continued coordination and the continuation of joint efforts aimed at reinforcing the financial security of both nations.
The parties agreed to maintain ongoing engagement across a broad range of anti-money laundering issues.
