The first International University Athletics Games for participants in the International Movement on Financial Security were held in Moscow on May 25. The Games became part of the work to develop the Movement, which currently brings together students from more than 70 countries and over 50 higher education institutions that are members of the International Network AML/CFT Institute.
The opening ceremony was attended by Director of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service Yury Chikhanchin; Chairman of the All-Russian Athletics Federation and Chairman of PSB Bank Petr Fradkov; First Deputy Director General of ITMCFM and Director of INI Vladimir Ovchinnikov; and Adviser to the Director of Rosfinmonitoring Oleg Shabunevich. Guests of honour also included heads of federal executive authorities, senior representatives of INI member universities and representatives of partner organizations.
The Games brought together more than 300 participants, including university students from 33 countries, students with disabilities and participants in the special military operation. The programme included the 100-, 200- and 400-metre races, the long jump and a mixed relay race.
All participants received commemorative medals and certificates. The Games were both a sporting event and a platform for strengthening international youth ties and promoting the values of fair competition, teamwork and financial security.
The Games were organized by Public-State Association Dynamo All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Society No. 33 together with the All-Russian Athletics Federation as part of the development of the International Movement on Financial Security.
