An AML/CFT upskilling course, held at the International Training and Methodological Centre for Financial Monitoring, welcomed its first students on October 9, 2014.
The training is conducted by the teaching staff of universities participating in the network AML/CFT Institute. The purpose of the training course is to update and systematize theoretical knowledge and practical skills of teachers involved in the training of AML/CFT personnel.
Among the speakers attending the opening ceremony was V. Glotov, Deputy Director of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service. The Head of Rosfinmonitoring's Legal Department, G. Neglyad, in charge of the first lectures of the course, introduced students to the key aspects of the international AML/CFT system and the FATF Recommendations. The course will teach students about the areas of AML/CFT activity, including typological studies, supervision, preventive measures, as well as the legal and institutional framework of the Russian AML/CFT system.
Classes will be held until October 17, 2014. Upon completion of the training, all students will take part in the final assessment.
