The AML/CFT INI took part in the scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin

The AML/CFT International Network Institute (INI) took part in the scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin, which was held on July 5-7, in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic.

Participants of the conference «Improving Effectiveness of the Financial Monitoring Network Institutes in Mitigation of Corruption Risks in the Economy of Eurasian Countries» were the representatives of INI institutes and research centers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The conference was attended by the ITMCFM Deputy Head of the Department of Education E. Butkeeva who read out a welcoming speech on behalf of the Rosfinmonitoring Director Yu. Chikhanchin and made a presentation «The International Network Institute as a Basis of the Joint Scientific and Educational AML/CFT Space in Eurasia».

The main goal of all conference events under the leadership of the pro-rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University V. Lelevkin was a discussion of current, theoretical and practical problems in the field of financial and economic security, combating ML/TF in the context of the globalization and deepening of integration processes in Eurasia.

It’s worth noting a great interest of the forum participants to the International Network Institute, its activity, attention to the training and methodological activity of the ITMCFM as well as the Centres efforts in INI coordination. The ITMCFM training courses for professional development of the INI academic staff were particularly noted and given a positive feedback.

Following the conference, a digest was prepared. It includes scientific AML/CFT articles written by the representatives of universities – participants of the International Network Institute.
