Students of MEPhI's Institute of Financial Technologies and Economic Security (Department No. 75 "Financial Monitoring"), a member of the International Network AML/CFT Institute, presented their graduation papers at Rosfinmonitoring on 30 January 2020.
Representatives of the Kyrgyz and Belarusian FIUs participated in the ceremony via videoconferencing since the citizens of these two countries were among the students presenting their final graduation projects.
Members of the commission chaired by Yury Chikhanchin, Head of the Department No. 75 and Director of Rosfinmonitoring, as well as invited guests heard 10 graduation papers, some of which incorporated the themes proposed by Rosfinmonitoring and are already used in practice.
Following their presentations, Belarusian and Kyrgyz graduates were offered jobs at the FIUs of their respective states. The presentation entitled "Approaches to the Identification of Suspicious Procurement Practices of Budgetary Educational Institutions" by a Russian graduate generated considerable interest and was passed on to Rosfinmonitoring’s AML and Budgetary Departments for study and possible distribution among law enforcement agencies.
